-The 2011 Annual Odd/Even Alumni Game was a success again this year, raising over $15,000 for the program. Over 200 friends, family, and alums showed up in support of the program. Very special thanks to Rob Emmerich for administering the entire event.


-Steven Marcus of Newsday ran an article featuring Russ Bonanno '12 and the path that brought him to SB, including transferring high schools and also transferring in college. -Thanks to all those who participated in the 2011 Annual Odd/Even Alumni Game. Over 60 alumni appeared at the event, from the original club team in 1978 all the way through the Class of 2010.

Offensive MVP goes to Kevin Shea '03 for amassing multiple scores for the Odd Team, including a fantastic around the world shot that hit the top left corner.

Defensive MVP goes to Jeff Capri '89, who stepped into the cage to defend the Even Team. Capri is not a goalkeeper by trade. Honorable mention for Kevin Sheehan '88 who battled the traffic and the elements from the Carolina coast all the way up to Long Island for the game, and played every minute.

-The 2011 Annual Odd/Even Alumni Game is approaching. Please email the webmaster if you are playing, if you havent already. Please also bring your gear and pinnies for the game. Details below:

-Faceoff is 3:30pm, so please arrive on time.
-If you have extra goalie gear, please bring it.
-There will be showers & towels available in the locker room.
-The barbecue will stay open until 6:30pm, so there will be time to eat after the game.
-The VIP Box will have refreshments and finger foods available for the Albany game at 7pm.


-Jeff Drew & Monica Chen of the Triangle Business Journal reported on Overture Networks buying out competitor Hatteras Networks, for which Kevin Sheehan '88 will be appointed President. Sheehan was formerly the CEO of Hatteras Networks, and will now assume the role of President for the new company. Overture Networks is

Jason Cappadoro '06 was SB's leading scorer from 2003-2006, and totalled over 40 points in each season.

-Nobel Hall contains over 175,000 square feet of living space and activity centers for students. It also includes a cafe, lounges, and meeting spaces.

-Nick Gerts of the KC Chronicle interviewed St. Charles Coach Andy Thompson, who said of incoming goalie Pat McGushin '15 "Every game, he comes up with multiple big-time saves with guys in his face... Pat McGushin '15 made a flurry of key saves against Glenbrook South to seal the win.

-Danielle Bernstein of IL Indoor featured Rhys Duch '08 in her recent post on the Washington Stealth's victory over the Minnesota Swarm. Duch registered 5G, 5A in the overtime victory, including the game winning goal.

Rhys Duch '08 was named a WLA First Team All Star in 2010 and lead the leagues in playoff scoring. Duch will be playing for Team Canada at the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Prague in June.
