-The Seattle Times published an article on Rhys Duch '08 on his hot streak sending the Washington Stealth to the playoffs. PRO & INTERNATIONAL UPDATE 23jul10

The Organization introduces regular columns with updates of Major League Lacrosse and the National Lacrosse League, entited PRO LACROSSE. Additionally, the Western Lacrosse Association season is underway in Canada and more news updates of SB Alumni and current athletes are in the pipeline. The purpose of the new column is to highlight the successes of SB Lacrosse Alumni playing professional lacrosse, and in some instances, to dig up old photos for entertainment purposes.

In 2009, Rhys Duch '08 broke the NLL rookie scoring record with 89 points (35G, 54A) and was named 2009 Rookie of the Year. Duch also scored 84 points (43G, 41G) with the WLA Victoria Shamrocks in 18 games (2nd best in the WLA).

Jordan McBride '11 is paced to be SB's first ever four time All America Selection.


-The Philadelphia Lacrosse Association assembled an all star team to scrimmage Team USA before they go to the UK for the World Games. Kevin Crowley '10 was chosen to play midfield for the PLA All Stars, but will compete for Canada in the World Games.

-SB Football opens up its season in September at the University of South Florida. This will mark the first ever SB football game against a FBS (IA) opponent. There will be a pregame reception at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa.

SB Football will play three FBS (IA) opponents in 2010: South Florida, Army, and Buffalo.


-The America East named its 2010 Spring Scholar Athletes, which included Kevin Crowley '11, who registered 51G and 26A from the midfield in only 17 games. Crowley is the recipient of the Enners Award, the 2010 unanimous AE Player of the Year, and a Tewaaraton Award finalist (2nd place finish). -US Lacrosse published an article on SB's successes in 2010 and its future in 2011. It incorrectly stated that Charlie Paar '10 would return next year, due to an extra year of eligibility. US Lacrosse most likely meant that Rob Camposa '11 will be a redshirt senior and returns for 2011. -The Haskell Commissioner's Cup has been decided, with Stony Brook finishing second, its highest ever ranking.
