-SB Athletics receives the largest gift ever in SUNY athletics history from Glenn Dubin '78, totaling $4.3M for the completing of a new state of the art strength and conditioning facility. An investor and philanthropist, Glenn played both football and lacrosse at the University and the facility will bear his name. Lacrosse alum Glenn Dubin '78 donated $4.3M to build the Dubin Family Athletic Performance Center, a state of the art strength and conditioning facility.


-Also in construction news, financier and mathematician Jim Simons donated $60M to the University in 2008 to construct the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics. Mr. Simons chaired the Math Department for ten years and oversaw its success to a top national ranking. This gift marks the largest donation ever to the SUNY system, topping the $40M gift from Charles Wang of Computer Associates in 2002, to complete the Wang Center.
