High school rising junior Bradley Garcia '17 said of SB: “Academically, Stony Brook is a strong school with a great Engineering School. Coach Nagle and the team were really welcoming on my visit. I like the defensive philosophy at Stony Brook and I felt it was a great fit. Also, the lacrosse atmosphere is exciting.”

Former SB professor and administrator Jim Simons donated $85M to the University over the course of 2006-2008 to benefit the Math & Physics programs.
