-StonyBrook.edu reported on the rebranding of the university seal and the medical enterprise. The new Stony Brook University seal modernizes the current seal and preserves the two prominent existing design elements: the rays and the stars.

The Campus Recreation Center is a 90,000 square foot facility between Pritchard Gymnasium and the Student Union, which will house a three–court gymnasium, a multipurpose indoor arena, an exercise room, dance studios, and offices.
