-Christine Sampson of the Three Village Patch published an article entitled "Rising SBU Athletics Program is no Illusion", citing a study indicating that SB Athletics have improved faster than any program in the country over the last four years
SB Athletics has improved in the Learfield Cup since 2008, going from #269 to #68, ahead of Texas Tech, Ole Miss,
Georgia Tech, and others.

The 2011-2012 Seawolves were the top-ranked team in the America East conference and
fifth-highest amongst all Football Championship Subdivision schools.
