RECRUITING ROUNDUP (AUG13)

Referring to Anthony Ross '18 (right) committing to SB, Vaccaro remarked that Ross: "...brings solid footwork and above average speed to the field."

Anthony Ross '18 (right), shown above playing short stick, is also a star RB/OLB, garnering All Division as a sophomore with 54 tackles, 40 carries, 423 yards, and 3 TDs.


Ross is the third player in his class at Sachem North HS to commit to SB, including Mike Calvagna '18 and Joe Caridi '18.  Also from Sachem North HS are committed defenseman Tyler Andreassi '17, the younger brother of current midfielder Mike Andreassi '15, and lastly Alex Harris '15.



Anthony Ross '18 plays in the Suffolk County Championships at LaValle Stadium.

Sachem North HS head coach Jay Mauro said: "Stony Brook lacrosse is the leader in recruiting Flaming Arrows laxers to play at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium right up Nicolls Road... We have a pipeline with Stony Brook because it is a great university academically and athletically.”
