Staudt wrote of Kevin Crowley '11: "There is probably not one other player who has been as big an impact in both the MLL and NLL, as a rookie, as Kevin Crowley has... brings his A-game with him every time he touches the field."
Staudt also mentioned that fellow alum Rhys Duch '08 has joined Crowley on the Hamilton Nationals for the 2012 season, along with Steve Waldeck '10 and Tom Compitello '11.
Chavez also listed Jordan McBride '11 for honorable mention for the Rookie of the Year award. Kevin Crowley '11 (left) has totalled 36G, 31A so far as a rookie in the NLL.Jordan McBride '11 (right) has registered 9G, 9A in only ten games as a rookie.
-The 2012 Annual Odd/Even Alumni Game was a success, with the Even Years team defeating the Odd Years by a score of 11-9.Following the contest, Coach Nagle and Rob Emmerich addressed the alumni and thanked them for their support.
Later, the alums celebrated in the VIP Level of the press box at LaValle Stadium, made donations to the program, and watched the Varsity take on Hartford. -Mike Loveday of ESPN reported that LSM Tyler Andreassi '17 (Holbrook, NY / Sachem HS) has decommitted from UMass and will attend SB in the fall of 2014. Tim Thomas said Rhys Duch '08 "has done almost everything... and excelled at it... an All-Star everywhere he has played... has the tools to play with the best in the world... continue to build his resume as one of the best in lacrosse, regardless of the venue it’s played in."
In the interview with Thomas, Rhys Duch '08 said: “Hamilton was a perfect fit for me in the MLL. The team plays a more Canadian style of game and the location allows me to still play Indoor at the same time, the best of both worlds.”

Stamp said Kevin Crowley '11 "never looked like a rookie... showed the poise of a veteran from day 1... (and is) second in the NLL in goal scoring".
In the same article, Stamp also lists Rhys Duch '08 as a top forward in the NLL, stating that Duch "has established himself as one of the best pressure players in the game."
Rhys Duch '08 was named 2009 NLL Rookie of the Year and won an NLL Championship in 2010. In 2012 IL Indoor named Duch the best player in the NLL.
-SB Athletics reported on SB Lacrosse winning its first conference game of 2012, defeating Vermont by a score of 13-5.
