In 2013, defenseman Tyler Anderson '18 lead SWR HS to its fifth Long Island title and an appearance in the NY Class C Semifinal.

In 2012, Tyler Anderson '18 won a NY State Championship at SWR HS.

Anderson is also a star RB/OLB on the football field, so far this year garnering 465 yards on only 37 carries, averaging over 12.5 yards per carry.

Lefty attackman Tom Haun '20 registered 18 points as a freshman for Sachem North HS in 2013, earning a trip to the Suffolk County playoffs.

The current SB roster also includes other Sachem North HS alums, Alex Harris '15 and Mike Andreassi '14.

Tom Haun '20 (white) is a multisport athlete, playing hockey, basketball, volleyball, and football in addition to lacrosse.

-Sean Burns of Lacrosse Magazine polled the fans for the Men's Player of the Year across all leagues, including Kevin Crowley '11 as a finalist.  You can vote for Crowley here: http://laxmagazine.com/genrel/101413_best_of_lacrosse_mens_player_of_year


Kevin Crowley '11 (center) was named the 2013 MLL MVP and tied for the first in points (55) and leading Hamilton to the playoffs.  Crowley also registered 72 points for the NLL's Philadelphia Wings in 2013.

Burns wrote that Kevin Crowley '11 is: "one of the finer midfielders in the game both indoor and out".

During its evaluation of Mackenzie Rope '203D Lacrosse stated that he: "... contributed a number of goals and assists... size and speed were pivotal in killing the odd man rushes and preventing transition goals from the other team."

Tyler Anderson '18 (right) won a Long Island Championship as a junior for powerhouse Shoreham-Wading River and was named All Division.

-At Homecoming 2013, Coach Nagle organized the 2013 Career Seminar, in which various SB Lacrosse alumni addressed the team on planning for their future.  The Organization would like to thank the following alums for speaking: Frank C. Barile '02, Matt Campolettano '02, Kevin Shea '03, Greg Taylor '98, and Jim Hughes '93.  Photos are below:


Greg Taylor '98, a school teacher and head coach of Suffolk Community Lacrosse, lectured the team on the importance of confidence and career choices.

This marks the second year of the Career Seminar, which has been a resounding success.  The coaching staff and the team have delivered positive feedback to the alumni who have participated. 


Former attackman Kevin Shea '03 spoke about his experiences in graduate school, the military, and the police force.

The Career Seminar was held in the Goldstein Academic Center in the SB Sports Complex.  Afterward, the team gave the alumni a tour of the Dubin Center and the SB Arena construction.


Matt Campolettano '02 emphasized the importance of studies, graduate school, and networking.

The Organization would like to thank Coach Nagle and his staff for organizing the event and also the team for attending.

SB Football hosted a record crowd at LaValle Stadium of 11,224, despite seating for only 8,200.
