-For the Class of 2016, SB Lacrosse signed high school junior Ryan Ramirez '16. Ramirez is a faceoff specialist from Brentwood, NY. This marks the second signee of the class, along with John Lynott '16. http://www.laxpower.com/common/recruits.php


-Nick Gerts of the KC Chronicle interviewed St. Charles Coach Andy Thompson, who said of incoming goalie Pat McGushin '15 "Every game, he comes up with multiple big-time saves with guys in his face... -Danielle Bernstein of IL Indoor featured Rhys Duch '08 in her recent post on the Washington Stealth's victory over the Minnesota Swarm. Duch registered 5G, 5A in the overtime victory, including the game winning goal.

Rhys Duch '08 was named a WLA First Team All Star in 2010 and lead the leagues in playoff scoring. Duch will be playing for Team Canada at the 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship in Prague in June.

SBU Lacrosse Remembers: Ron LaValle (1943-2010) 6mar11

-During the halftime break of the Virginia/SB game, SB Lacrosse honored former coach Ron LaValle with a ceremony for the LaValle Family.


SB Athletics
played a photo montage of Coach LaValle on the jumbotron at halftime.



Cynthia LaValle (pictured in red) and the LaValle Family were honored as the 4300 fans in attendance observed a moment of silence in LaValle's memory.


Though not present, in LaValle's absence, the ceremonial Canadian and American flags were fixed to the mezzanine at the 50 yard line.
