-Justin Douglas of PolicyMic listed the top four colleges that are just a great as the Ivy League schools, including SB at #3 on the list.  SB was listed behind Virginia and Florida, and in front of CalPoly San Luis Obispo: http://www.policymic.com/articles/28975/4-top-colleges-just-as-great-as-the-ivy-league-schools

SB has been ranked #29 in the Forbes Best Buy College rankings.  Douglas also wrote that SB is: "one of the best research institutions in the world".

-Neil Stevens of Lacrosse Magazine covered the big weekend for former SB teammates playing in the NLL, stating that Jordan McBride '11 and Kyle Belton '12: "had the best day of their pro box lacrosse careers last Saturday": http://laxmagazine.com/nll/2012-13/news/032013_big_weekend_for_former_stony_brook_teammates

Kyle Belton '12 scored a hat trick as the Toronto Rock beat the Philadelphia Wings 13-8.  Belton also scooped up 7 loose balls. 


Jordan McBride '11 scored four goals in the 16-13 victory over the Buffalo Bandits.

Mammoth coach Bob Hamley said Jordan McBride '11: "is really coming into his own... great hands and he's constantly learning from some of the best, like (John) Junior (Grant).... if he gets on top of a goalie he's money. We're pretty excited about his efforts and his maturity.''

Stevens also mentioned Kevin Crowley '11 of the Philadelphia Wings, who scored four goals against Toronto.  Belton, McBride, and Crowley play summer lacrosse together and operate Sea To Sky Lacrosse Camp in their native New Westminster, B.C. http://seatoskylacrosse.com/
