-The Colon Club featured cancer survivor Michael Giangrasso '86 in its March 2011 Calendar, including interviews with Giangrasso and his battle with stage III colon cancer. Giangrasso underwent surgery to remove 18 inches of his lower colon, lymph nodes, and his right kidney. After enduring months of chemotherapy, Giangrasso has mostly recovered. Steven Waldeck '10 has played in every game this season for the Hamilton Nationals. In 2010, Waldeck lead Division I in scoring among all long poles with 10G, 4A and was named honorable mention All-America.
Adam Rand '11 was traded to the Long Island Lizards and won 15 of 28 draws against his former team. Rand is in the top five in SB history with 288 ground balls, tallying a career-high 96 in 2011.

-Joe Lombardi of LaxLessons reported on SB Lacrosse receiving a commitment from rising senior Anthony Berardis '16 of Mahopac HS. Berardis made headlines in his junior season when he scored the game winning goal against Yorktown HS in two overtimes to seal the upset. Mahopac had not beaten Yorktown in 19 seasons. In 2011, he registered 27G, 20A, and 46GB from midfield.

-The Suffolk County Lacrosse Coaches Association named incoming midfielder Luke Miller '15 the recipient of the 2011 Lt. Raymond J. Enners Award. -The America East named its 2011 America East Scholar-Athletes, including Kevin Crowley '11. Crowley graduated with a 3.38 cumulative GPA and a double major in business management and psychology. The first overall pick in the 2011 NLL Draft, Kevin Crowley '11 was a USILA First Team All America selection (2x), 2010 NCAA Player of the Year, and 2011 NCAA Midfielder of the Year. Crowley earned All-America East honors in each of his four years and is the only player in SB Lacrosse history to exceed 100G and 100A.

-Laxpower.com is reporting that attackman Nick Watson '15 (Oldham, UK / Rochdale LC) has signed with SB Lacrosse and will be attending in the fall of 2011. Watson represented Team England in 2010, along with current defenseman Jak Wawrzyniak '14.
Inside Lacrosse listed Nick Watson '15 in a column entitled "Names You Should Learn" during the 2010 FIL World Championships, describing him as an "ankle breaker" that can make defenders fall over, akin to the speed Mike Powell of Syracuse.

After a quiet start to his rookie campaign, Kevin Crowley '11 burst onto the MLL scene last week with 4G, 2A. Crowley was also named Bud Light Player of the Game for his 4G, 2A against Long Island.
