-The Colon Club featured cancer survivor Michael Giangrasso '86 in its March 2011 Calendar, including interviews with Giangrasso and his battle with stage III colon cancer. Giangrasso underwent surgery to remove 18 inches of his lower colon, lymph nodes, and his right kidney. After enduring months of chemotherapy, Giangrasso has mostly recovered. Former SB Lacrosse letterman and cancer survivor Michael Giangrasso '86 is now healthy and runs his own company, NetworkCPR.com.

Head coach Jim Nagle played attack at Loyola, making the NCAA tournament all four years and reaching the national championship in 1990. At Colgate, Nagle was named Patriot Coach of the Year twice.

The former Colgate head coach Jim Nagle has already obtained verbal commitments from at least six high school juniors to attend SB in the fall of 2012.
